Once your building's windows are under KNX control it is a simple procedure to enable natural ventilation. Using CO2 sensors and/or air quality sensors, the windows can be automatically opened if the carbon dioxide levels rise above a certain threshold or the air quality drops. This approach is widely used in rooms that regularly have a large number of occupants, e.g. classrooms.
Features
•Adjustable CO2 / air quality thresholds
•Built in dead-band / hysteresis to prevent window ‘flap’
•Any off-the-shelf CO2 / air quality sensor can be interfaced to KNX
•Real time CO2 /air quality measurements can be displayed on head end visualization
Benefits
•Uses less energy than active fans
•Delivers optimum environmental quality
•Utilise existing KNX network
